The Ultimate Martial Arts was invited to participate in the Open Karate Tournament in Deerfield Beach and we decided to send one of our best "capoeirista" to check out how Capoeira would perform against Karate.

Junior was the athlete chosen to represent our team.

He lost his first fight (although we did not agree with the results) and was disqualified in the second. According to the referee, he felt Capoeira was too aggressive, therefore, could not continue participating in the event.

By the way, later on we met the big guy on the picture in another tournament and we found out that he is actually a black belt, not orange as shown in the picture.
